Timing of events using dasha and transit of planets

The horoscope of a native indicates the promise inherent in it due to position of planets, planetary combinations and associations. The time when promise will fructify depend upon dasha and transit of planets. The dasha of a particular planet will give results as per its placement, natural significations, lordship, aspects and overall strength as well as its position in the divisional charts. The major period of a planet is called as mahadasa, which is further divided into sub periods of all the planets. Yogini dasha is also seen by most of the astrologers to pin point the events. Whenever, any important event happens in the life of a native, the transit of planets also play an important role in addition to the dasha and antardasha of planets, particularly transit of slow moving planets like Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu is very important.

When Saturn and Jupiter both influence a house and house lord, activity related to that house happens in the life of a native. Transit of Rahu and Ketu is also important as these are very karmic planets and are capable of triggering particular events related to the house and planets they influence during transit. For example transit of Rahu in 9^th and 12^th house may trigger foreign travel. Influence of dasha, antardasha and pratyantar dasha lords on a particular house also trigger the events related to that house. Also transit of lagna lord dispositer and D-9 lagna lord dispositer in the same sign may trigger the events related to that sign position in the particular house of the horoscope. Therefore, for predicating any event in any natal chart, we have to study Dasha, Antardasha of planets and as well as transit of planets particularly transit of slow moving planets like Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu. To pin point the month and day of event transit of Sun and Moon is generally seen as transit of Sun indicate the month of event and the transit of Moon indicate the day of the event.

To predict the timing of Marriage following parameters should be fulfilled:

Dasha/Antardasha parameters:

1. Dasha of 7th Lord.
2. Dasha of Lagna Lord.
3. Dasha of D-9 Lagna Lord
4. Dasha of RAHU/VENUS natural significators of marriage.
5. Dasha of 7^th lord from VENUS.
6. Dasha of planets placed in the 7th house or aspecting 7th house or 7^th
7. Dasha of dispositer of 7th Lord.

Transit Parameters:

1. Saturn and Jupiter influencing atleast two out of four following points:
   7^th House
   7^th Lord
   Lagna
   Lagna Lord

2. Transit of dasha, antardasha and pratyantar dasha lords influencing any of the above points.
3. The Sun may indicate month of marriage by influencing one of four points mentioned above by placement or aspect.
4. The Moon may indicate date of marriage by influencing one of four points mentioned above by placement or aspect.

To predict the timing of birth of children following parameters should be fulfilled:

Dasha/Antardasha parameters:

1. Dasha of 5th Lord.
2. Dasha of 9th Lord.
3. Lagna lord of D-7.
4. Dasha of Jupiter.
5. Dasha of Dispositer of 5th Lord.
6. Dasha of Planet placed in 5th house or aspecting 5th house or 5th Lord.

Transit Parameters:

1. Saturn and Jupiter influencing two points out of four mentioned below:
   5^th House
   5^th Lord
   9^th House
   9^th Lord

2. Transit of dasha, antardasha and pratyantar dasha lords influencing any of the above points.
3. The Sun may indicate month of child birth by influencing one of four points mentioned above by placement or aspect.
4. The Moon may indicate date of birth of children by influencing one of the four points mentioned above.
